Been a little quiet on here of late, as I've just returned from a lovely month away in sunny Thailand. Here are a few snaps. For those interested, we stayed in Chiang Mai, Pai and Koh Chang, with not nearly enough time in Bangkok (flew in, flew out). Although we did go to a fine photography gallery there, which had this exhibition by Welsh photographer Andrew McNeil. Powerful stuff. And the definite highlight of the trip was a day spent riding the mountain bike trails of the Doi Suthep National Park - absolutely superb. Will be returning to Thailand at the earliest opportunity - what a fantastic country.

Thought I'd have a go at something for Illustration Friday for a change - my first time! The topic this week is 'ink'.

Well, my last post seems to have had the desired effect - been enjoying a lovely spell of dream jobs and fantastic clients of late, hurrah! I might start posting commissioned work on this blog too (check www.edtucker.biz for recent updates - plenty more to go up in the coming days and weeks too), but for now here's some personal work that I've been producing in amongst my recent jobs: tennis, typography, a nice house and some sharks, jolly good.

My new range of limited edition prints is now available, and I'm selling the initial copies to raise funds for my friends' son's medical treatment - all the details are on my Facebook page, and the Treatment For Ted page is here. Hope you fancy brightening up both your walls and a young boy's future at the same time!

A bit of fun here - I occasionally dabble in homebrewing and decided it was high time I had a natty badge to put on my pressure barrel. I'm way off coming up with my own recipes and thereby legitimately being able to describe the barrel's contents as one of "Tucker's ales" but stuff it, there's a flat circular space above the tap and I'll be damned if I'm not going to make it look nice with a wee bit of typography. Watch this space for the Porter, IPA & Best Bitter versions (or don't)....

I'll be releasing a new cluster of limited edition prints shortly, and here is a preview of one of them, in a (slightly lurid) green colourway as an alternative to a more varied one which you can see here.
It's been a while since I've talked about tunes and there was some absolutely cracking music released last year, so I thought I'd briefly list my favourite albums of 2014, so here you are:
Clinton Fearon - Goodness - without question one of my all-time favourites. Utterly brilliant LP
Dubmatix - In Dub
Decapitated - Blood Mantra (face it, death metal's great)
Crowbar - Symmetry in Black
Martha Tilston - The Sea
Fagin's Reject - Dirty Protest
(Hujaboy - Ancient Memories/Fractured EP/Whisper EP - not an album but Hujaboy's on fire at the moment and put out some absolutely storming EPs last year).
Also really loved some fine EPs from the likes of Don Fe, The Skints, Akasha Experience, Fungus Funk & Quanta. Bonza.
Best films of last year for me were Grand Budapest Hotel and Inside Llewyn Davis and my favourite book was The Martian by Andy Weir.
